Due to the number of submissions we receive, we will get back to you within two weeks after the submission period closes. We appreciate your patience.

This publication was created to amplify Black music, art, and culture. Whether music, literature, dance, visual art, poetry, or any form of creativity, if you have a story to tell or an artist to highlight, we want to feature your work in Resistance & Resilience.

Please read previous posts and review the following editorial guidelines before submitting.

We accept literary fiction and non-fiction, poetry, reviews, and photography. You may submit up to 3 poems (up to 10 pages total) and up to ten photographs for consideration.
Do not submit work that has already been published elsewhere. Feel free to rework an article or take a different angle, but we only accept work that is previously unpublished. Resistance & Resilience is open to simultaneous submissions but contact us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
Please provide payment options once your piece is accepted. Currently, we pay $150 for all submissions. We will submit a payment within 30 business days of publication.
